Custom Twitter backgrounds are widely used to convey branding and contact information. Many industries have grown up around designing custom backgrounds for twitter and have already spent a lot of money on them. In one fell swoop, is Twitter rendering them obsolete?
I can hardly believe this is the case, but I haven’t been able to find any discussion of it. Can anyone shed any light on this?

But on the bright side, there is a positive side of new twitter in terms of product branding.
The new design emphasizes profiles when you visit a user’s page. They’re also showing profile pics bigger and at a higher resolution, so there might be an opportunity for branding there.
Hi all, it is true that the custom designs will be useless with the redesign.But as Social media have been competitive and I believe we are in for a wave of changes that court may dollars.
It's nice seeing that nothing is left to chance on Twitter site. The golden ratio makes everything more appealing to the human eye.
ReplyDeleteBut if the fonts are not easily readable, it may defeat the whole purpose. Twitter staff should fix the font size.
